Premises Permission - Church (Connor Burgess)

A church is one of the main settings we are going to use for filming our music video. However with Christmas being so close, we needed to make sure that we could film in a church through getting permission from the priest.

St. Cecilia's church

So, because we are filming in Newsham park as well we decided that we was going to film in one of the two churches in Tuebrook for the convenience. The two churches are St. Cecilias and Church of St. John the baptist which are both located on Green Lane. St. John the baptist is right outside a bus stop in Tuebrook and St. Cecilias is a 2 minute walk from the same bus stop, showing that the churches are both easy to get to.

St. Cecilia's church is the church in which I got baptised in and had my holy communion, because this is technically my family's church that is why I chose this as one of our choices.

However Church of St. John the baptist was chosen because of it's convenient location as it is only a bus ride away from Cardinal Heenan and the city centre. Both churches have different styles and they both suit the type of church that we wanted, which is an old fashioned looking building.

I rang up St. Cecilia's and left a message on the answering machine for the priest, a few days later the priest rang me back and we talked about the possibility of filming our music video in his church. The priest did give me permission to film in his church and I was told that I had to let him know when we are filming a day in advance.

Also, I visited the Church of St. John the baptist on one of my half days. I spoke to the priest and he also granted me permission to film in the church. He also told me that we had to let him a know a day in advance.

We are now deciding which church we would like to film in as they both have different styles in terms of exterior. We will make our decision on Monday which is the day before we film in the church.
